FAQ
QUESTIONS
To compete in the Legends League, you need to purchase a WNBF Portugal Membership. This membership, once activated, will allow you to participate in any WNBF event (if authorized).
Once your membership is active, you can register for the Legends League.
You can compete in more than one category. This can be done by purchasing the Cross Category option on the website.
The number of Pro Cards awarded will always depend on the number of athletes competing in the event. The more athletes, the more Pro Cards can be awarded.
An athlete can earn a WNBF PRO CARD if they meet the following criteria:
Winning an open category with 8 or more athletes.
- To win the overall category.
Men's categories:
Bodybuilding: Weight.
- Physique: Height.
Classic: Height.
Women's categories:
Bodybuilding: Weight.
Bikini: Height.
Figure: Height.
- Fit Body: Height
Although the WNBF has official divisions for each category, this competition does not strictly follow those exact divisions.
Instead, athletes are distributed as evenly as possible across the available categories within each of them.
The objective is:
• Ensure that each category has a balanced and fair number of athletes.
• Create competitive lineups in all categories
• To provide more meaningful opportunities for athletes to qualify well and earn a Pro Card.
The final category divisions are determined after check-in is complete.
This approach allows us to maintain fairness, competitiveness, and a better overall experience for all athletes on stage.
You are eligible to compete internationally as long as you compete in the Legends League.
If you have a valid WNBF membership in your country, you can compete in the Legends League, provided you have authorization from both parties (your country's federation and ours).
All athletes who place in the top 5 of their category are eligible to compete in the WNBF World Championship.
You can find the criteria on the official WNBF website via this link:

Refunds will only be issued in cases of sudden serious illness or accident, both with proof, and up to 2 months before the event in question.
Bank taxes will be deducted from all refunds issued.
Full refunds will be provided if payments are processed automatically by our system and the athlete does not authorize renewal.
Registrations can be transferred to other athletes or to the following year. Please contact WNBF Portugal for more information regarding this particular situation.
The polygraph test itself is not a lengthy process and is conducted before the competition. The pre-selection process by the organizers, the athlete's questionnaire completion, and several other pre-interviews take significantly longer. All information disclosed during the pre-selection process is necessary for our organization and our polygraph examiners to make the test results more reliable and valid. You should arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time to complete the documentation. Some examiners will require you to submit the pre-selection documentation in advance. A valid identity document, driver's license, or passport must also be presented to the polygraph examiner, as well as any prescribed medications.
This test is valid for 6 weeks for amateurs and professionals. If you are participating in another WNBF event, inform the event organizer that you have been tested and they will confirm this with a WNBF official.
All athletes who win a qualifying event for the WNBF Pro will be subject to a mandatory urine toxicology test on-site. Urine samples will be analyzed by laboratories in the United States.
After we receive the results, the athletes will be notified of their WNBF professional status and will be able to activate their WNBF Pro card.
Professional WNBF athletes who win prize money will always be subject to a urine toxicology test. Amateur and professional athletes may only wear a competition suit after undergoing a urine toxicology test in the presence of a WNBF official. The urine collection procedures will be strictly followed by the athlete in the presence of a WNBF anti-doping official and will be conducted in accordance with the WADA code. Amateur or professional athletes who fail to undergo a urine toxicology test will be subject to disqualification and/or suspension.
Teen Category: 19 years or younger.
Junior Category: 23 years or younger.
Master Category: 40 years or older.
The Debut category is for athletes who are competing in a particular category for the first time .
This means that even if you have competed before, you can still enter Debut if you have never competed in that specific category .
Example:
If you have competed in Bikini 3 times , but never in Figure , you can still compete in Debut Figure .
The Debut category exists to allow athletes the opportunity to compete for the first time in a new division , even if they already have experience in other categories.
The Novice category is for athletes who have never finished in the Top 3 in a competition .
However, there is one important exception:
If you are in your first year of competition and you finished in the Top 3 in a previous event in the same year , you can still compete in the Novice category .
During your first year of competition, you maintain Novice status throughout the season , regardless of whether you achieve Top 3 rankings.
From your second year of competition onwards, if you have already achieved a Top 3 finish, you will no longer be eligible for Novice status.
Yes. Athletes competing in Debut or Novice can also compete in the Open category in the same competition.
However, it is important to take two points into account:
• The Open category typically brings together more experienced athletes, so the level of competition tends to be higher.
• If an athlete finishes in the Top 3 of the Open category , they become ineligible to compete in the Novice category in future years .
Competing in the Open category can be a great opportunity to gain stage experience and see how your physique compares at a higher competitive level.
